Beautiful trail. However the water board track section before hiking along the Devils hole creek is quite hard to spot! Look for the pile of rocks and follow the path.

Beautiful views. Be prepared though. Super steep and the climb up to sublime requires experience. Not for the faint hearted. It’s also currently hard to see the trail due to recent landslides. There are very few markings along the way so you have to stay aware. Use of GPS a must in current conditions.

Quite a difficult trail if your riding a mtb. Did it with 2 friends and an adult and took us a solid hour to complete over all a good track for the experienced riders

Beautiful way to escape crowds at Three Sisters. Well maintained stairs and trail. I went clockwise and found the steps much more forgiving on the way back (which usually never happens). Awesome to see the variation in nature at different elevations. Well sign posted. I was lucky to dodge all the rain showers and enjoyed beautiful sunlit views of the Three Sisters and Katoomba falls during ascent at the end of the hike.

Nice forest and water cascades but not much else. Virtually no views of the beautiful scenery that makes this NP a world heritage site.

Walked this track a week ago. A fair bit of rain fell on the Saturday, but the road out was in good condition and didn’t need 4wd when we went out on the Sunday. Great walk and great views across the escarpment.

My husband, six and eight-year-old daughters, and myself completed this Friday, October 5, 2019. We altered the trail by starting at Echo point and went to federal Pass clockwise to make it a loop back to Echo point, which was an awesome idea! This way you can begin early at three sister iwithout the crowds from Sydney and otherwise, and continue taking in breathtaking views along cliff walk. We had a misty day that obsecurefd some of the views, but we saw a lot of it last night. Once you reach federal pass, you descend down a steep, well-maintained, staircase/path. The ferns and luscious rain forest were a treat with the mist increasing the beauty of the rain falls and intensity of the rain forest. The birds here are quite boisterous and make such interesting sounds. At some point in time we were reminded of the hunger games – ha ha! You can take a shortcut up through three sisters, but we continued on to Ferber steps. It would be such a mistake to miss the traverse up Ferber steps. We stopped to take photographs, watch birds, and take in all the different views of the surroundings, which were awe inspiring. Then, you take a heavily trafficked trail back to Echo point to get another view of three sisters! This hike probably would’ve been better in clear views, but the mist was actually not discouraging as everything was mystic and maybe kept away crowds! I think this was somewhere around 7 1/2 miles and took four hours, including a stop for lunch. For reference, we are pretty good hikers and my girls can do over 23 miles in a day with significant elevation. Go out there and do it!

A fire trail that you walk on for 14kms with no rewarding view at the end. Would be good as part of the mount solitary loop but as an out and back trail by itself I found it disappointing. Very mentally challenging on the way back. Some very steep hills. Did it in 6hours but was racing against the clock. Should be done in 7-8 hours.

This was a stunning hike start to finish! The decent was a great start, passing by and following waterfalls. I felt like we weren’t at the bottom for long then it was a climb up towards Wentworth falls. Climbing the slack stairs was exciting enough we almost forgot how sore our legs were.

So rewarding. When we did it, the signage was unclear for a bit of it and the path was sometimes obstructed by fallen trees so its hard to know if you’ve stayed on track. To stay on track, we followed all the marked signs as shown on the map until they faded out and we started to see pink markers on the trees. We followed those until we saw the official Blue Mountains “Way Out” markers. The pink markers can be tricky to follow as they aren’t arrows. Its a steep decent and a steep incline for about 4 hours. The views are incredible! Worth it but be very careful with the path.

Wonderful track with fantastic Grose Valley views. Continued on to Du Faur head to extend walk which is a bit more challenging.. Access to trailhead is via dirt road with signs - 4WD recommended.

Très belle randonnée. La descente a côté de la cascade est la partie la plus impressionnante. On l'a fait fin juin donc il faut pas trop trainé pour être sûr de sortir avant la nuit.

Definitely a work out! It took us just over 6 hours to complete out and back...LOTS of steps mainly at the beginning and end. We made an unplanned detour down the scenic walkway at the railway as the sign for the federal pass continuation wasn’t super clear. Definitely earned our trip to the Japanese baths the next day!
