I started from explorer tree and to be honest, except for the first day, it was a pretty boring hike. I don't see the pleasure in hiking on a durt track for 4wd for 20km.

Campsites are nice but for the second and last night, it was not possible to open the tap on the big green tank so, only option was to get water at the toilets.

I wouldn't recommend this hike

Great track, very casual and easy with all the new boardwalk installed. Added on an extension around Jibbon Head to the north on the first day heading North to South. Was able to filter water from some of the larger creeks with a purifying system with no issues.

Great walk - some trail was a little hard to follow around the landslide area between Furber Steps and the Golden Stairs but we figured it out. The climb up Mt Solitary was steep and a climb rather than a walk in many areas but its well worn and easy enough.

Great walk, from Otford Station to bundeena... Caught ferry to Cronulla. All up took around 8hrs... Amazing scenery

Great views. The campsite at North Era isnt the best due to the lack of water.

The section from Alum Creek to Black Range is quite boring.

Hiked this with five mates in 6hrs with small stops along the way with a 0630 start at Otford. Varying elevations between Otford and Watamolla.A nice walk but if you are going to do it in one day then take your time and don’t rush,it is a demanding walk.We had one member of the team have to be picked up urgently from Bundeena due to fatigue and low sugar.

Cox river is

Amazing place to visit

really enjoyed this trail, though it was alot of up hill.

Great mix of maintained tracks and some slightly overgrown, includes a bit of everything... steep descents and climbs as well as river crossings.
Lots of wildlife and flowers out in November too.

Not a bad walk, mainly access trails not much off track walking but still good fun

Walked from Bundeena to Otford with a group for a 2 day hike. Followed the boardwalk the whole way except some is still under construction. Lots of hills not much flat walking. Camped at South era camping ground. Awesome hike

I did this one it was an incredible day went first week of November still a fair few snow crossings and river. 10.5 hours it took 2 of us. ps remeber sun screen due to snow reflection.

Completed in 1 day. Amazing!

Did this track with a mate not too long ago. It is best to do it in Autumn as we did it during a summer heatwave- not the best experience. But the campsites, views and nature made up for it. Took us 2 days and a half, starting from Explorer’s Tree, finishing at Jenolan Caves. Make sure to pack lots of water, as there is no fresh water until you make it to the campsites.

Awesome views! Pristine beaches! Let’s keep this as it is

Went out in late November and there was still soo much snow. Came prepared for a summer walk and ended up waking through knee deep know for half the walk! Hard with the snow but great fun! Well worth the trek up Australia’s highest hill!

I recommend doing it when there’s not soo much snow or come prepared with snow shoes.

I did this over two days. From Katoomba train station to coxs river (18km) day one. Day 2 coxs river to Jenolan (30km). The uphills are hard but what else do you expect mountain hiking! For my first solo hike, it was pretty awesome! Did it mid week. Didn’t see another person. Good nature time. No snakes at all. Very satisfying hike.

We only did from Mara creek to Shelley beach and return, great views of the whales and local area.8 Km and about 2 hours

Started from Katoomba, first part (15km or so) was beautifully scenic throughout with an awesome suspension bridge just before the camp ground. First 10km next day were dreadfully hard with the constant incline, but once you conquer that bit you get to enjoy the rest of the hike. Jenolan Caves are definitely worthwhile exploring once the hike is over :)

You can do this bushwalk as a very easy 3 day walk, a moderate 2 day walk or a long day hike. Beautiful scenery with whales along the coast line. Some of the best wildlife I have seen on any bushwalk.

on Six Foot Track

Done the 6 foot in a day 12 times - in all those times only ever saw 2 snakes - a black and a brown, on same day - best time 10 hrs 27 mins, worst 12 hrs 45 mins - always start Explorer’s tree, end bottom step at Caves House. Always led by one of the world’s best blokes, Barry K***. Started when 51 yrs age, last time at 61.

Amazing Track.
I walked it from otford to Bundeena in 10hours.
I took a break at Marley Lagoon and took a lot of time taking pictures of different animals and the landscape.
The way to figure 8 pool is closed, but u can make it there from burning Palms Beach in the rocks (take care of Waves and Wind). I missed the figure 8 pool

Lots of wildlife, koalas, echidnas, goannas, kangaroos Wallaby But no snakes seen
Campsites along the way well provided for with tank water, composting toilets and picnic shelters if you want.
Day 2 from Katoomba is the tough uphill day, first 10 km, second 10 km is a little flatter

my legs are so sore!

great three day hike 17km in you hit the up hill and it was hard. but still great hike

day 1 tough. day 2 tougher. day 3 nice :)
watch out for snakes. kind of hard when they look like sticks... I suggest to set off at dawn on day 3 and get to jenolan by 10 so you can go on a cave tour, walk a track without ur pack or just sit at the cafe and try and drink them out of stock!

another tip is the bus arrives at 12pm "blue mountains coaches (or buses" if you catch the bus driver, he will let you to drop off your pack so you can explore more. bus leaves around 3.30. Bus driver is John and is a champ
