Good practice track with some steep hills and varied conditions. Google maps shows multiple tracks in some places where only the fire trails exist. Extend the walk by taking some of the fire trails

Great hike, some beautiful scenery and great photo opportunities and local wildlife. Some steep sections that will get the blood pumping!

taken over by Ibis...you need to avoid some sections

Great hike for the kids.

The trail is nice and flat, and the lake is beautiful with a great view of the city. Lots of birds! It’s a bit of a shame that there are works everywhere in the park (or at least a lot of barriers) and that the lake is so polluted though. Plastic everywhere :/

Good hike, the dam was really cool. Will do the whole trail next time

small loop for walkers, managed to get nearly 8kms done utilising the bike track but wouldn't recommend without a pushbike. saw a fair few snakes

off trail

We use to go swimming in the lake there in our younger days, great place to chill out for the day

great walk for cubscouts

Awesome, easy and beautiful, definitely kid friendly and don’t forget your swimmers if you come out on a sunny day! Highly recommend :)

Beautiful walk, everyone should do this walk once in their life. Right up there possibly even better than Great Ocean Walk, Weather conditions can get extreme even in the middle of summer.

a nice little walk for kids, plenty of things to see, lizards, dragonflies, anglers and horses on the trail. look forward to a childless walk :)

easy to follow walk through different scenery which was nice. we didn't do this exact walk as we climbed My Dunn which was worth it as great views from the top and we also went to Mac's lookout instead of going to the end. the flies were pretty bad at some points on this track.

Best view ever!

The 360 degree views from the top are stupendous! Steep climb and challenging bare cliff edge track at places, not a track for faint hearted!

it's a beautiful walk with lots of trees for shade along the way, and a great place to have picnics and bbq's

A nice easy walk suitable for families. With the lagoon currently dry there is no need to worry about wet feet but no waterbirds on the lagoon.

Easy hike for all.
flat terrain and the walk around the lake is beautiful. note bunji trail is closed off for dogs.
Ziggy loved it.

I did the main track and looped around the pink track back to the start. Really easy walk and good for interval running. Watch out for bike riders though! And goannas crossing your path

great well kept and mostly flat trail

Kirralee footpath loop

Not overly well signed but if you go clockwise there is probably less chance of doing extra km's due to wrong turns. Great to cool off in the reservoir after.

Great scenary, we walked up to Mt Farrell peak, then went to lake Herbert and walked back to the fork along the track on ridge parallel to Lake Mackintosh. The track to the peak is hard after the fork. Overall not very long but steep climbing, the last section on the way back is slippery due to leaves, it would have been hazardous on a wet day, fortunately we had great weather.

Hidden gem!

I'm a local and both walk and horse ride this trail often. It's challenging and beautiful. The lake is lovely and the bushland is peaceful. Enjoy!
