We did this in February. Nice views on ferry ride to and from. The guides were very nice and fairly easy with crampons. The end of the short hike, all were rewarded with whisky on fresh glacier ice.

WalkingGreat!

One of the most amazing, surreally beautiful places I’ve been. The boardwalks and paths are easy for all. Saw many calvings and not too crowded in early February...pre-COVID.

I hiked this in Feb of 2020; I found that there were a few muddy/damp areas along the trail but nothing that hiking boots couldn't handle. The terrain/scenery varied along the way, with a steady climb upwards. The views at the top are wonderful, but prepare for the wind! If I ever return to Ushuaia, I'm bringing ear plugs for this hike!

Great trail, we went after a rainstorm due to time restrictions. I wouldn’t recommend going if it has recently rained as we were covered up to our knees in mud and peat moss. Regardless of the mud, it was a fun hike and the views throughout the hike (especially after you get out of the forest into the clearing) are breathtaking! Late review - I went November 2019

HikingMuddyOff trailRockyScramble

HikingMuddy

Muddy is an understatement. Make sure you have appropriate footwear and don’t be afraid to get it dirty (it will get extremely muddy - ankle deep muddy) toward the end, so don’t waste time trying to avoid the mud, as that will slow you down. may as well get dirty early!

I have never given a trail a one star review before so this is a first. The trail itself is incredibly dusty with a fine dust that gets in everywhere, including your lungs and eyes. And no sign of a view until you get to the top. While the view from there is good there are many better trails to chose from in the area.

The hill of 7 colors is right next to the photo spots marked on the map. We thought we had to take this trail to see it, but not so. Because of the surrounding mountains, the sun doesn’t shine on the hill until about an hour after sunrise so don’t rush out at dawn! The hike itself is just ok.
