Photos of Santa Cruz Trail Running Trails

Got lucky with a sunny and not too windy of a day. Completely different than reports from the day before where wind was forcing people to hide behind rocks at the top.

Started in El Chalten, first part was a good wake up but not too hard. Last climb was was a work out. More smiles on the way down than up. The trail never gets very close to a ravine or large drop off - it’s more straight or switch back up- so I believe the “fear of Heights” warning are overstated. That said, I recognize the term means different things to different people.

Made the connection to Torre El Cerro on the way back. Great views and picture opportunities and a lot less crowds until you arrive at the Mirador.
