Went on a ranger led tour, very informative, afterwards we drove to different points of interest on the auto tour and walked in

I really enjoyed this trail. It got out in the woods more than many in the park. This is one of my favorites for a close by trail.

This is another one that we did over three years ago and I forgot to enter it. This is a very pleasant ride.

A really nice walk along the beach.

I really prefer woodland trails, but it was a great leg stretcher.

We did too much today, but it was nice.

Make a loop out of Main Street and Ballard and hit the edge of the battlefield.

A nice walk around the historic Yorktown business district. Start at the courthouse and walk down Ballard Street in either direction. Go down to the waterfront, around and back up. You pass museums, galleries, historic homes and more.

I did this beautiful walk again today A little cold for swiming, but just right for scenic walking.

Most Virginia State Parks offer ranger led night hikes York River State Park is no exception. This is a wonderful time to exercise your night vision and learn the sounds and creatures of the night.

Really awesome piece of American History is the battlefield where British General Cornwallis surrendered to General George Washington and the combined American and French forces.

This is a nice trail running from the bike-way back to White Oak. It is more secluded than some of the trails in the park.

If you are using your GPS to get here, you will probably need to put Newport News Park as your destination.

I found this place very hard to navigate. There were signs posted, but the trails were close to overgrown in some spots and very hard to find when you had to cross a service road. From the trails that I was able to find, it was fairly flat with multiple switchbacks. Seems like a perfect place to take your kids if they are ready to learn.

Some of it was interesting but I really do not like riding a bike in traffic. Better yet, lets stick to wooded trails. Lakes, rivers and views are the best!

There is some duplication with the 9 mile trail. Be careful because this route brings you out onto busy state highways. Most of it is out in the open.

Abundant with swamp wildlife, a beautiful and shady summer afternoon hike. Very easy trail - kid friendly.

Not a whole lot to it. Most of the trails are dirt roads you could drive a car on. I was hiking but I did not see any difficult parts for a bike.
