Went on a weekday morning so it wasn't that busy. Saw less than 10 people the entire hike. Went up the fire road and down the madrone trail that connects beck to the fire road to make a loop. Would've been a better workout to go up the madrone trail and down the fire road. Partly shaded and nice views at the top.
Use this trail a lot because I am really close and when it is foggy in Medford, it is usually clear and beautiful on Roxy Ann Peak. These are some of the best days to hike on the peak.
Last hike my Boston terrier got bit by a rattle snake at the top in the rocky area with the best view and we had to carried him all the way down while he straggled with the pain and us to make it down as fast as we could. He still in recovering now but will probably lost the eye where he got one of the bites.

Always a favorite, and if you just want an easy loop you can follow it around instead of taking it to the top. Lots of people though, but close to town and the views are worth taking it to the top.
