I was very pleased and excited that this trail was so easy to find. Great path for running and biking...I'll definitely add this to my favorites. This trail runs into many others in the area...so you can make it an adventure.

Wonderful hike. Ideal for running. Great view on top. Been doing this route for 10 years and never run into a problematic dog that needed to be Mace'd, as suggested.

So many side paths you can fallow but if you stay on the main path it's a great walk! nice areas to stop for picnics. we did not stay on the red line path we got off corse but didn't not get lost. we saw some wild turkeys my kids and dog had a blast. definitely worth going back.

hiking

Great trail and a great hike. If you take the loop to the right at the beginning, its a pretty rough elevation gain. After that the trail will be a gentle downslope the rest of the way, so that's nice. Hiking shoes and plenty of water recommended. Dogs are allowed but need to be kept away from the creek (OSU research). I've only hiked this trail in the summer where it's dry, but it looks like it could get pretty muddy in the winter. All in all, a great afternoon hike. 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Well maintained trail. Not hard, and the complete trail as given on the map should only take an hour and a half. Tennis shoes should be adequate, unless it's been raining. 90% of the trail is shady and covered by trees. Dog/Horse friendly.

Nice park to just go play or study in. Fun old train engine to go look at too. Also, a nice rose garden when it's that time of the year.
