trail locations for Albany, Oregon

The descriptions provided by others are pretty consistent with I would've said. Good path for a short afternoon out, without having to travel far. Occasionally I have found random people and their personal belongings along the side trails, they are kind people but if that sort of stuff makes you nervous I'd recommend going with a friend.

We live within walking distance of this park. The trail is family friendly, ideal for young kids because it's level, paved, and tucked away from the road. There is a playground, a dog park, and a creek that you can fish in too.

NOT OKAY FOR CHILDREN!!!! This is the drug hangout of Albany's parks!!! The trail is beautiful but full of drugged people who watch you. I don't recommend ever!!!

Nice to walk for a few minutes nothing special

Shady people in the area not a very safe trail

Sweet little walk with my fiancé, relaxing and easy! Not much to see but a fun time together. Went back with our bikes and that was fun :)

I do not recommend going here, it's full of weird people (drugged groups of people) who stay late in vehicles getting high and watch you. Not kid friendly!!!

A little underwhelming, but a nice walk along the river :)

This last Saturday I went with a friend to Simpson Park in the Albany/Millerburg's area and hiked the trail which is located right next to The Talking Water Gardens. This trail was about 2.3 miles out and back and it was a really pretty quiet walk and hardly nobody on the trail except some lady with her dogs picking up the dog shit on the trail which by the way was really Kool of her to do and I give her props for doing that.
This trail is a straight walk through with hardly no elevation gain and a very well marked path with a quick loop at the end that brings you back to the main trail. This also has several side trails or pathways down to the Willamette River that range from really steep to not so steep.

A nice spot for a run. Living in Albany, there aren't very many trails to run near by.

Nice day hike, mostly flat and all inclines are gradual. It's great for a hot summer day because there is a lot of shade from the trees.

Great little path! One of my favorites for walking your dog. Though use caution a majority of people using this path do not leash their dogs.

This starts in the parking area for Talking Waters park. It's a decent but short trail. Highly recommend it if you want to have a nice walk or bike through the woods but don't want do travel to far out of town.

short and simple..follows the river.

Great little walk along the Willamette River. In 2011 the city added native planting after some infrastructure work. very nice spot Easy hike. Out and back.

Beautiful walk along the riverside. Would never go alone or unarmed o_0

This is a wonderful day hike. The reviewers about the trees and blackberries need to take a botany class . we enjoyed the pines, ash, maples and more besides the cottonwoods. The trails to the river are wonderful in late fall when the river is low. This trail is smooth, level and excellent for small kids and elder adults besides bikers. it is well worth it so close to town
