walking

Easy trek with great history. Stop in at the Visitor Center and view a few short programs to learn about the Revolutionary War battle that transpired at this location. After a day of walking, don't miss Ozzie's Ice Cream shop (intersection of Battleground and Old Battleground) for the best ice cream in Greensboro!

Such a great trail and lots of places with beautiful lakes views to stop and rest! My dog also loved it!

hiking

Beautiful. There was a point close to marker 14 that I stopped and did not hear anything. It was total and complete silence. This was my first trail hike in over 10 years and it felt like so much more than 4.5 miles. I hurt in strange places right now but I can not wait to do it again.

Great hiking, but the lack of signs and clear directions turned a 4.5 mile hike into a 9 miler!! Beautiful setting just needs better signs.

we just did the tour via car today but we did do it 2x. the trail looked awesome and well be coming back to do it one day. its good for everyone bc its paved but in general we like natural earth below our feet. still it looks like a great walk.

Lots of shade and an easy hike. There was nobody else in the trail. Unfortunately, we could only do half because it was so overgrown and markers were missing.

Great trail but definitely not easy. Lots of hills but enough straight-a-ways to catch your breath. Overall I loved it.
