I am a local, and absolutely love this trail. Once you are able to get off the road and onto the trail there are so many fun twisty areas. It is possible to ride up to Dry Lake Campground and back in just under 2 hours for decent mountain bikers. The scenery is great. The only section that is unable to be ridden up is call The Wall. It is a rocky 18% grade. It gets busy in the summer, but the early and late seasons are very enjoyable. There is no better feeling than having it all to yourself!

The description on this hike is incorrect. The map and elevation profile are for the hike from the parking lot to upper Fish Creek Falls, NOT to Longs Lake. As other reviewers said, the hike to Longs Lake is much further. The sign at the parking lot says it is 5 miles each way (10 miles round trip) to Longs Lake.
Even so, this is a spectacular hike. We went on a chilly October day so there were only a few hikers. The aspen trees were dropping leaves and were a beautiful golden.

This trail should not be hiked by novices. The scenery was beautiful and the hiking was fairly easy for the first 2 miles. After that the trail was so overgrown that we lost the trail and after leaving the wooded area we no longer saw the blue diamond markers that marked the trail. Thanks to the satellite map of this App we were able to find our way back to the highway. This 3.5 mile hike turned out to be a 4 mile hike with a couple of very steep climbs and untraveled wilderness. We made it back safely and we were very happy to see the main road back to our vehicle.
Thanks for the great App
