The trail is pretty easy, 1.2 miles around the lake. There are a couple different forks in the path so you could get creative and make a longer loop for yourself if desired. The park is located in the middle of a neighborhood so it is very nice and quiet here. Good mountain views while going around the trail.
I came here to take a jog but also noticed there were people fishing. Several times while walking around the lake I saw fish jump out of the water and make a big splash.
Gave 3 stars because it was very nice but also very simple. Also this is the first trail I've visited in Denver so I don't have much to compare it too.
Cindi S. on Ralston Creek Trail
It's a beautiful and peaceful trail for riding your bike or walking your dog.
Trail has 2 parking lots, one on Indiana (west side of park) and one on Ward Rd (east side/middle of park by the big church). I usually park on the Indiana side (can get muddy in the rain). There are horses training near the parking lot so I enjoy seeing them and can hit the whole loop if I start there. You can go past Ward road all the way to Oak and it makes for a good bike ride as well. On the side of the sidewalk there are some places where there is a little trail so I suppose you could "trail run" and one called the Jimmy Go Loop, which is more trail like, but this is NOT a hike by any means.
