We hiked 10.6 miles through the city's neighborhoods, parks and the hills in a mid October day. We started at the Civic Center BART station with the following highlights: San Francisco Public Library, Asian Art Museum, City Hall, Herbst Theatre, Symphony Hall, Hayes St, Alamo Square Park, Buena Vista Park, Haight St, Kezar Stadium, UCSF Medical Sciences Center, Vulcan Steps, Corona Heights, Mount Sutro, Sutro Tower, Tank Hill Park Trail, Castro District, Mission Dolores Park, Mission Dolores Basilica Parish, and we concluded at the Mission BART station. What an excellent way to explore this beautiful city.
A great view of the bridge. I parked by the cafe on Point Lobos and ran with the pups to Baker beach and back. Several stairs each way but nothing crazy hard. Not a lot of people for something so close to the population. Spectacular views.
