This trail has an ascend straight up with few level offs for a break in the hike. Great for a strenuous workout hike

I ended up hiking a very local mountain over the weekend. I have been hearing that it was an interesting trail but I haven't had the chance to explore until now.
Read about it in my blog...

Great trail. Once you get past the power house there are more horse trails that you can go down. Better to go earlier in the day than later. It tends to get hotter faster. Bring lots of water if you bring dogs.

This is a great hike full of wildlife. we came upon a coyote, rabbits, beetles and alot of lizards. this is defiantly not an east hike its a more challenging one. on the top of box springs it rates it as difficult. would do again. loved it!

This is more of a walk around the park type of place. It's beautiful and for $5 every Saturday at 10am you can get a tour where they give you a bag and you can fill it up with as much citrus fruit as you want. The guides are adorable and very nice. It's worth going for a nice walk.

Really enjoyed this walk. Wish we could've made it all the way to the top but my pregnant daughter was starting to get pooped lol. Going again in 4 days to try the other direction

Walk this almost everyday day. Not a lot of foot traffic. Great wildlife and you can choose different paths. Two shady glades to stop in.

Trail was okay, trail is good for all fitness levels. Main trail starts at the dog park and it's fairly easy, if you need a challenge you can take other ways up the mountain aside from the assigned trail that are a little harder. View was okay. Bummed to lean that I could not fly my drone here. (No fly zone).
