The south rim trail is a great way to experience the Canyon, which was one of our favorite parts of Yellowstone. There are great views of the waterfalls, and the trek down the steep stairs of Uncle Tom's Trail gives another vantage and is worth checking out.
This trail was amazing. I did it when there was still some snow on the ground in the month of June. was very muddy and wet, but well worth it. Amazing views all around. Very crowded area at times.
Some good views with a few steep hills. Very well traveled.
Went here with family years ago and loved it! Loved the falls, but trail quite crowded with tourists close to the falls overlooks.
was our favorite place to see in yellowstone absolutely amazing !!
Rolling hills, and nice views. This is called the South Rim Trail on the maps in the park.
beautiful hike! worth the effort
Great views of the canyon. Definitely worth the hike. There are plenty of benches to rest on if you're worried about the intensity/elevation gain.
The views of the falls are absolutely stunning. Some of the biggest waterfalls that I've seen, and with the trail system you can get super close to the falls.
When you get near the falls you can feel the power.
Favorite hike we did in Yellowstone, easy hike and great views of the falls and "Grand Canyon" you don't get from just the main overlooks
Awesome!! This is a must see!! When you stand near these falls you are overwhelmed by the power of these wonders.
Super easy hike, absolutely stunning views.
Great falls and views of the canyon - just walked the overlooks since the trails were closed due to bear activity.
Amazing views! I love Yellowstone and have done several hiking trails here during our 4 day stay. I recommend this one - not as crowded as some of the other ones around the geyser basins. We saw an eagle chic in its nest on a jutting rock in the canyon and the waterfall is awesome.
