I did a section of this trail, down to the suspension bridge. The trail starts out with a lot of switchbacks, going downhill. Quite a bit to see along the trail, and as with most trails in Yellowstone, you have a great chance to see wildlife. The suspension bridge is really great, and it is cool to walk across the Yellowstone river and see the beauty of the area. What goes down, must come up.....so if you hiked down to the river, you must climb back out using the switchbacks. Its a rough climb, but well worth it. A great trail, even if you only do a few miles on it.

Beautiful hike. There were tons of wild flowers blooming. The suspension bridge was sturdy and the view off the bridge was great. There were lots of mosquitos wish we had brought bug spray would have kept us from being devoured. I will do this again as we cut it short because of the mosquitos.
