Easy hike through a meadow, beside a pond, along lake Yellowstone, through a pine forest and back to the meadow. Nice mountain views across Lake Yellowstone. Prime grizzly country though we never saw one ( just the scat). Did see buffalo and an otter at the very end before emerging from the woods back into the meadow. Quite an enjoyable easy hike. Took about an hour to hike it.
Interesting how much the vegetation changes on this short hike. We encountered a herd of Buffalo and had to veer way around them.
really enjoyed trail, different areas took us to wood to lake and various sights... very nice even in challenging weather
A little too easy and flat for my liking, but I was with a friend who had never been hiking before and it was perfect for her. Had a great view by the lake!
Beautiful hike. Very easy and flat. Takes you through the forest out to the beach of the lake and back through the meadow. We did run into a Bison on the trail and had to wait it out to get around him. Be very cautious on the trail.
While on this hike, we found a teepee ring.
