A series of trails and loops within the park. Explore geological features caused by the last ice age including steep hills (moraines) and deep valleys (kettles) in this mostly wooded area. Includes lookout tower. State park admission sticker required.
The trail may be confusing at first.. We got lost but we manage to find our way to the top, just required extra energy and effort, but extra workout! Follow the Ice Age trail, read signs and know the color codes carefully. The kiosk was really helpful cuz it tells you exactly where you are just in case you're lost. Need more of those in other hiking places hehe.
Overall, great workout, great hike, amazing view. Would go back here anytime!
Great hike. Great scenery and a fairly easy path.
It's a wonderful trail even in the winter. We hiked around 5 miles, the trail is moderate to easy and there is a gorgeous lookout of the whole park.
Fun shorter trail, lookout tower offers a nice view.
Great hike from the beach up the ridge to the tower. The view is so worth the hour long trek uphill to get there. Can't wait to walk this trail again once the leaves change. We saw a deer on the way up and came across an old abandoned hay rake just off the trail.
A favorite go to trail when we want to go for a hike. Beautiful in the fall with all the sumac and oaks. Fun features along the trail - old farm fence lines, signal trees, springs and a look out tower.
