Pond Run and White Rocks Loop Trail is a 11.2 mile loop trail located near Wardensville, WV that features a great forest setting. The trail is rated as difficult and primarily used for hiking, walking, and backpacking.
Take in spectacular views along the Pond Run Circuit in George Washington National Forest. The trail is steep and rough at times so this is only for experienced hikers. From its start on Waites Run, this circuit climbs some 1300+ feet at times on a steep and rough footway, for about 2 miles along Pond Run. Then the trail takes a side trip to an old fire tower site on Halfmoon Lookout where the views are nothing short of spectacular!
