Blackwater Falls is a 0.7 mile out and back trail located near Davis, West Virginia that features a waterfall. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking and camping.
Very short and easy walk for some beautiful views.
Not as much of a hike as about 200 stairs to the falls. Incredible view and worth a stop.
This was a beautiful place. The trail itself is mostly steps built to get views of the falls. There are other trails in the park so this is a must to see but for hiking visit the other trails. This has the best photo opportunities. Definitely recommend. Driving thru the park we seen quite a bit of deer walking and eating along the road.
5 stars for scenery, but was very easy trail to do almost just like walking steps. We made it a little more interesting by going off the stairs part. Did it early on a Monday morning and nobody was there. Beautiful falls though, well worth seeing.
I've been here in all four seasons. Winter is probably my favorite - even though there's a risk the trail might be closed. The water and snow are breathtaking.
It was a beautiful trail. Great for the kids and our 2 year old loved it.
The Falls are beautiful.
It's a pretty easy walk down, but be careful it the steps are wet. They can be quite slick.
Beautiful falls. While you can't get in the water, you can get close by using the boardwalk, and looking around it would not be safe to climb over the rough terrain to get closer.
Not much to say about this one... It's a long staircase down to a beautiful waterfall. There are roughly 4 overlook decks at different elevations. There is no way to get in the water though.
The trail was beautiful, green with lots of waterfalls.
Easy paced trail. Stairs suck 5 ways out loud.
