Berkeley Springs to Paw Paw: Springs, Spas, & Tunnels is a 30 mile trail located near Berkeley Springs, West Virginia and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for scenic driving and is accessible year-round.
We travel from Tidewater Virginia to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania often and the normal route for us is up US17 and then 522 to Hancock, Maryland via Berkley Springs, West Virginia. But any time it is a nice day and we are not strapped for time, we turn left on route 9 to Paw Paw, which is the next Potomac River crossing. It is a very beautiful route. It will keep the driver busy though because I do not recall an inch of straight road. We have taken it four seasons and enjoyed it every time.
