off road driving
Parking is limited and available on the road shoulder.
We drove here interested in some 4x4 Jeep trails after reading elsewhere that those could be found here. Unfortunately all offsets from the main road are gated off and the main road is VERY easy riding. Lots of dirt bike and ATV trails to be explored, but nothing for a Jeep.
Normally a good place to learn 4x4 driving- HOWEVER as of June 20, 2015 the jeep trails are closed for logging. They don't have an estimated reopening posted... found this out the hard way after driving there this weekend...
Since this is primarily an ORV trail, I do not recommend it for hiking on the weekends or holidays. However, during the week it is fine. Two dirt bike riders arrived as we did, but we never saw or even heard them again until we were almost back to the trail head. We ran into one other hiker with her dog. She said they come out all the time and seldom see anyone. There are many interconnecting trails weaving through an awesome forest area so you can do as much or as little as you want.
spent two hours trying to find the hiking trailhead. the ORV dominates this. found mountain biking trails, again nothing for just hiking.
The previous review is lacking a bit.Walker Valley is actually a state ORV park which means it's mostly motorized use but Mtn. bikes are more than welcome. There is actually well over 30mi. of some of the most awesome trails in Wa. state.
