This is a section of the Pacific Crest trail, heading south from Meadows campground, just before Harts pass in the North Cascades. The trail provided panoramic views of ridgelines and peaks in all directions. Day hike a section of the Pacific Crest trail, starting just south of Harts Pass in the North Cascades of WA state.

Starts high and stays high, with minimal elevation meandering. We chose this hike due to the larches, and they did not disappoint! Beautiful full groves and sparse doors of yellow in full color. The ridges of many of the N Cascades peaks keep you company the entire way. Great views, easy hike, and the trail (part of the PCT) is in great shape!

A fun short scramble up the rocky slope from the PCT. The 'trail' up Tatie peak is just a boot path and not well traveled but not very difficult. You won't find any shade to cool down in - not many trees on that peak
