Switchback Trail is a 3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Port Angeles, Washington that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until October.
Steep and rewarding very at top. Even saw a mountain goats!
A nice, short workout trail on its own.
Some hikers have blazed new 'trails' off the real trail. Look out for these distractions. Would not recommend for children under 10 due to steep drop-off, but each hiker and parent will have to judge based on their comfort and experience.
27 switchbacks to the top. But we'll worth the view.
