Sunrise Lake Trail is a 1.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Sunrise, Washington that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until October.
06/07/15 - Sunday - Just a quick note to say that the trail is clear of snow, no bugs, and the wildflowers are starting to emerge. I was here in the afternoon and the crowds were thin but the parking area was pretty full. Saw an elk on the trail on the way back. I continued on to the Upper Palisades Lake and will write more on that trail page.

Despite what the previous reviewer claims, this is not a great spot to camp. Camping is not allowed at any of the lakes along this trail, except Dick Lake and Upper Palisades Lake.
Awesome views. Great spot to camp and starting point for other hikes.
