Directions from Sedro-Woolley: Follow State Route 20 east for 32 miles to the community of Rockport. Turn right at the east end of town on Highway 530 heading toward Darrington. The drive up Illabot is beautiful, great views of the valley and the Skagit River. Their are a few creeks on the way and plenty of gorgeous scenery. The trail itself is scheduled to be closed soon, no longer maintained it has all but became another part of the Skagit's history.
I love Slide Lake usually good fishing. Been a couple years since I've been will have to get up there this summer.
