Mallardy Trail is a 4.5 mile lightly trafficked trail located near Granite Falls, WA and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible from May until November.
Directions from Verlot: Drive east on the Mt. Loop Hwy. 7.0 miles to the Mallardy Road #4030. Turn right and follow this road for 1 mile to the junction with Road #4032. Turn right and follow this road to the end.
This hike has a great variety of terrain, ecosystems, and views. From old growth forest, sweeping meadows, to beautiful ridge views. There are great campsites scattered amongst the Cutthroat Lakes surrounded by mountain blueberries.
