The directions above are incorrect, instead of toward the lake, go the opposite direction and take cemetery road up the hill to the actual cemetery. The cemetery itself is kind of neat to wander through. At the back is a picnic shelter with a road that goes next to it. This will take you to a gate that says "entering Private Property, Hiking Only." Follow that road and it keeps going up and up and up and up. There is a side loop, but it won't take you to the top. There are about 6 places where you think you should be close to the top and there is another steep uphill. Keep going! You know you've made it when you see the cairn at the top. It looks like it continues down to the other side of Loon mountain, I saved that for another day. Decent views, nice foliage and quiet.
