Lake Eleanor Trail is a 5.2 mile point-to-point trail located near Paradise Inn, Washington and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible from July until September.
I took my Scout troop on this hike on a beautiful August weekend in 2012. The trail from Sunrise to Lake Elanor is a relatively long out and back with the return trip uphill the whole way. As discussed in other posts there is a shorter way in. However you miss the majestic views of Mt Rainier's Grand Park if you go that route.
This trailhead is incorrectly placed ... in fact it is not at a trailhead at all.
The trail to Lake Eleanor is about a mile long and begins where Eleanor Creek diverges from road 7360.
