The trail follows Crab Creek in the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge. Birds commonly seen are Lincolns Sparrows, Lazuli Buntings, Rock Wrens (in the nearby basalt cliffs),Eastern and Western Kingbirds, Bullocks Orioles, and Yellow-breasted Chats. The area in general is also known for its migrating Sandhill Cranes in the spring.

Complete CRAP!! We had to drive through a feed lot and ended up in an area that looked like a dumping ground...including dead cattle!! Complete waste of time!!
