Slight incline, Great scenery! When you get to the rock it gets a little more difficult (fun)
The trail is now closed and a fairly new signal and gate with "NO PARKING. PRIVATE PROPERTY. NO TRESPASSING. NOT PUBLIC ACCESS TO BIG ROCK." posted on it. Call me a wuss, but I don't particularly wanna get shot trespassing on someone's land. Super bummed about this
Beautiful views and it short but gets the blood pumping. Definitely worth the hike!
very short semi easy way to kill 20 minutes of your day
difficult to find
We parked on the side of hwy 9 and took the path across the street. It was short, about 1 mile, decent incline. You kind of have to rock climb to get to the top, but nothing too difficult. It got the blood pumping. It was pretty, you can see almost 360*
Big Rock has 2 approaches. One a very gradual trail and the other shorter more inclined trail. Big Rock also has a couple short bolted routes for climbing. An easy hike for kids and people with bad backs.
