Don't follow directions. Trail is actually outside sultan, highway 2 turn on Sultan basin road. Parking is quite aways from trailhead. Steep hike but solitude is worth it.

You have to start at the Spada Lake boat launch so the round trip is closer to 9 miles. Two miles on the old DNR road and 2.5 miles on the trails. Once you start up the trail toward the lakes you burn up some switchbacks and steps. The lakes are worth the effort. Minimal traffic - nice.

Nice trail although it hasn't been maintained for some time. Campsites are nice but bathrooms closed, no longer maintained. Trail is very brushy in places so add a half hour or so to hiking time. The peace and quiet is worth it.
