dogs on leash
Rough day on the trail. 6-8 inches of soft but crusted over snow. Definitely not sneaking up on anything. Got there too late to hike the whole thing. Beautiful views though, worth the visit
Stunning desert vistas with waterfalls. Super easy, great for kids. No signs are posted at trailhead, but the path is well worn, so it is easy to tell you are on the right path.
Great easy hike! No obstacles. Beautiful scenery. Dog and kid friendly.
Very enjoyable hike. Temperatures were plenty warm during the day, but cooled off nicely in the evening. Quite a few fish in the lake, but they weren't biting much. Definitely worth the extra hike up the hill to the top of the falls. Probably best early or late season hike. Lots of people, but room for many many more.
Easy hike. Inside a bowl, not much scenic view. Some waterfalls.
hot but worth it
Good 5 mile hike. Little warm. Near the lakes the trail passes very close to some camp sites. Interesting rock formations. Saw 3 waterfalls. And a snake.
Easy trail to walk on and some great views over the lakes and landscape.
great trail for taking newbies hiking or camping
This is a great hike, you can stay left and go to ancient lake or take the right trail and head to dusty lake. Lots of snakes, lots of horseback riders, but when summer comes it's too hot for most people. Overall, one of our favorite hikes. Although, would have never found the area without meeting someone who was willing to take us, there are no signs letting you know where to go.
