Beautiful terrain, got some rock scaling in, waterfalls are beautiful with clear ice cold water: good for previous hikers getting back out there!

Great for a long hike/trail run if you have some time. If you're time limited, would plan to choose other hikes, only because the local Blue Ridge has so much to offer. If you're on the mountain for a bit, the perimeter trails are a great technical course. Running is not always feasible on sections due to required scrambling, so give yourself some time. FKT is 2:53, which is a 12 min pace, so you're not going to cruise through this one on flowy trail, but great views and an excellent workout. There are multiple trails around Wintergreen Mountain Resort from easy to difficult. The Cedar Cliffs trail to Shamokin Gorge overlook is short but the overlook is very nice.
