Sunset Trail is a 1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Spotsylvania, Virginia that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

A beautiful wooded trail that follows the lake all the way. You are never out of sight of the lake. There are many beautiful pines along this trail with aromatic needles. This trail is not on the park map, but it is easy to find and even easier to follow. Enter Lake Anna State Park and take every right until you get to the lake. Off to your right is a small building with rest rooms. The trail starts behind the rest rooms and heads north along the lake. Since the park does not want to name this beautiful trail and the lake is to the west most of the way, I named it "Sunset Trail." If the park ever decides to name it we will need to edit the description. Meanwhile I guess the rangers were keeping it for themselves.
