Sleepy Hole Park is a 2 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Suffolk, Virginia that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Terrible trails, not groomed at all we had to turn around because they were so bad. They were also hard to find. It looked like a nice place for fishing and having a picnic though.
I really couldn't find any real trails. I found some small 1/4 - 1/2 mil trails that went from one parking picnic area to the next. It is beautiful. But the trails are definitely not well defined.
Nice little park to take the family to or go for a walk. The trails are too small for biking but can be used to train the kids on, plenty of challenge for that. The trails need to be cleaned up and some work done on access to the river but other than that I would go again, but leave the bike at home.
I concur with Alan's review. Nice Park and the trails are nice, but really do need some work with proper markings and in one section there is a large tree across the trail that needs to be cut through so you don't have to climb over it. The trail has potential. I would do it again.
A nice park. A lot of the trails follow the water. There is plenty of open space too if you are into that kind of hiking. Suffolk Parks and Recreation told me that they are getting ready to do decent trail maps for their parks. At the moment Lake Meade, Lone Star Lakes and Sleepy Hole have no trail markings and no trail maps, but they are pretty easy to figure out.
