Easy wide trail. Good number of roots in many areas.
Nice little trail for kids. Well maintained.
It was over a year ago, but I thought it was the visitor center and very much in the park. Maybe it was called something else. Anyway, Donna was right that there are many miles of trails in the park, so pick your hike from beautiful lakefront to uphill leg burners. I think this is one of the prettiest state parks in Virginia.
Please note this trail appears to be within the state park . There is a lake anna visitors center separate from the park, and there are no hiking trails there. We did hike about 4 miles of the trails in the state park. Very nice. There are plenty of trails there, and you can put together any hike length you want.
A lovely loop that can be picked up starting at the Visitor's Center or as a continuation of Old Pond Trail. Lots of little overlook views of the lake. Great trail! Can't wait to do it again in the spring/summer.
So much beautiful Lake Anna. From the Visitors Center parking lot start out either north or south along the shoreline for one mile, turn around, come back and go in the other direction for a mile. The south leg will take you to Railroad Ford which is no longer there but you will know it by the point. The trail makes almost a U turn and heads uphill. This beautiful trail takes in the scenic parts of Railroad Ford Trail, Scenic Pond Trail, Fishermans Trail and Sunset Trail. You are never more than a few feet from the lake.
It was a great little trail with views of two water masses.
This is a fully accessible trail with accessible fishing platforms all the way around. Also great for kids. The trail itself is a pleasant loop around the pond.
