New Ditch Trail is a 0.8 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Suffolk, Virginia that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, birding, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

It was a hot day and these ditch trails offer little shade. There is very little variety except for the height of the grass down the middle of the gravel roads.
A lot shorter than the other ditch trails but still level and hot. There was an old rotted foot bridge across the canal about half way. I wondered what had been over there. Maybe an old camp site??? But it is totally overgrown now, so it would be unsafe to go over even if the bridge did not break.
