Great family setting. The view of the lake from the sand bar was amazing. There are tons of family friendly things to do. We had a BBQ kids and adults had a great time. Live in MD but will come back.

Decent ride, not very advanced and a lot is paved.

meh, Felt like I was going around in a carousel at kmart. After Fountainhead trails, and the views this was like an armature experience.

It was a good trail. I accidentally took a wrong turn along the way, so it took a little bit longer than anticipated. The trail has an amazing view. It is a wonderful Sunday walk or run. Be cognizant of the turns though, if you aren't paying attention you can easily end up where you didn't expect to be.

Great trail for suburban area. Not too challenging for 66 year old with some disability. Great views of nature--herons, egrets, bald eagle. Well maintained. Not busy weekdays.

Dogs are welcome on a leash. The trail is mostly gravel and rock but outlets into a residential area with sidewalk. The path is mostly very wide and great views of the lake and nature. The lake has hourly paddle boat and canoe rentals, as well as mini golf and a carousel. It was a nice walk that anyone could do.

a nice place to build speed for distance walking. beach area with water fountain and concessions in the summer, restrooms are clean and good parking. if you park off the road at the end of Greeley and take the bridge path down it is a great workout, as the hill getting back is a monster!

Nice hike, not very challenging. There are off trail trails that take you off the beaten path. But they aren't marked at all and there are several forks that get frustrating.

This is a nice trail with wide unpacked paths and good views however the loop is separated by a 1/3 mile section of street walking with no signs or directions - I had to ask a lady walking her dog about how to find the trail connection :-(

Great trails for walking, running, and biking, and very convenient to major metro area. Don't miss out on the single track trail system west of the dam, which includes many connector trails up to the railroad grade. Restroom facilities and seasonal concessions available at carousel area above dam, and ample parking available just south/below dam, where the Fairfax County's Cross County Trail (CCT) comes into the park. Accotink Lake is a popular venue for Quantico Orienteering Club events (see link) for beginners through advanced orienteers. Check it out!

This is a great trail that is really close to home for me. I saw a variety of wildlife, including a beautiful fox. It wasn't too crowded, but then again, I was there on a weekday mid-morning. There were both joggers and walkers present. The only things I disliked were the dull roar of road noise from I-495 and the stroll through the residential area on a sidewalk. I would've preferred to be on park trails the entire time.
