Goose Creek trail is a 2.2 mile point-to-point trail located near Leesburg, Virginia. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking.
This trail runs along Goose Creek and then along the Shenandoah River as the creek feeds into it. In some places the trail splits into two trails running parallel to each other, one closer to the river and one closer to the golf course (which is visible through some trees). Where the trail crosses small streams leading to the creek, the more inland trail usually has a bridge where the other trail may not, but I was still able to cross without a problem and actually prefer the trail running along the creek. The trail is great for walking, hiking, running, even mountain biking in most places. Kids as well as older folk and dogs will be able to enjoy this trail. It will be muddy after it rains, so beware of that. There is parking at both ends, so if you like you can go with a friend and not have to backtrack.
