Chickahominy Wildlife Management Area Trails is a 3.3 mile out and back trail located near Charles City, Virginia and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round.
Right after all the rain so parts were difficult to get through because of puddles and mud. A nice trail though easy walk and mostly shaded. Looking forward to coming back when the leaves change.
I don't know what Zach meant about "no hiking?" I did and liked it a lot. It is a nice woodland hike with some great views along the way.
Hunting and boating ONLY. Too bad can't park and hike there. Pretty drive, though.
For being 12 miles outside of Williamsburg, Chickahominy is one lonely place. There are great views of the river from high hilltops. Norris Creek looks like a great place to paddle. Sadly, other campers don't practice Leave No Trace. Avoid hunting season and this is a great place east of the Blue Ridge to explore.
