Most of the trail loops through two large fields, although you pass though a beautiful wooded section beside a lake in between. Although you are in large open fields most of the time, you will also be peeking through trees and weeds at wetlands and Bells Mill Creek.
Too much open area even for December. It must be a roaster in the summer.
Over 2 miles of the 2.5 miles takes place in two big open fields, one of which is behind the jail. But the trail that connects those two big loops is beautiful and runs between the wetlands and a photo-opt lake. One side of the two big fields border the wetlands too, but you are peeking through brush and weeds.
Well, do you want to walk around a big field behind the jail? There are some great views of wetlands. You pass by a beautiful lake on the beautiful wooded trail between the two large fields.
