This is an easy trail with great scenery from big river to woodland serenity. It is a beginners trail. A nice little loop trail. It starts out on a well manicured, wide trail running along the York River on the left and passing a lake on the right. Then it heads into the woods for about a half mile and comes out on the park road near the renta office. It has big river views and quiet woodland.
Short trail but lots of good photo ops on this trail.
Outstanding Fall day to hike this trail, short and sweet!
It was a beautiful day for a walk. For a short beginners trail, this trail has a lot to offer. From big river to quiet woods. You walk past a fishing lake and a little furthur down you come to a side trail to Fossil Beach.
