Great trail. Best views are at 2600 ft elevation lookout to the west. Not much to see at apex of Bald Mountain. Only 4-5 parking spots at trail head so get there early.

One of my first hikes a few years ago in 2013. Beautiful views of Bennington, Vt. We did this in early spring so the trails were a bit wet. All in all a good trip. Planning to go at it again soon with some first timers.

easy beginning, moderate middle with rock scrambling, harder end with parts of intense incline. lovely payoff though, took me 3.25h round-trip.

Great trail! A little muddy this time of year but there was plenty of water for my dogs to drink, which was good. The view from the top is pretty awesome! Well worth the hike. The beginning was a little confusing but just make sure you follow the blue markers and you'll be on the right trail!

Me and a buddy did trail running from the parking area on north branch street in Bennington Vermont to the white rocks. About seven miles altogether there and back. Nice mix of terrain, some open areas, shady woods, streams and small rivers, and some pretty rugged hills. On the whole an awesome hike about four to five hours depending on how many breaks you take or a good hard run in about two hours. The views are plenty and very pretty, the view from the white rocks is awesome, you can see the whole valley and the surrounding mountains. Plenty of places to camp as well.

One of the most beautiful hikes - section of Long Trail / AT... For a 2-3 day hike, you can start at the foothill of Bromley Mountain, go over Peru Peak, and hike up to White Rocks, passing a gorgeous small lake (can't remember the name), right before the big / steep push to white rocks peak. I think that Eagles nest on the west side of the rocks, and you can see them take off from the top. In the summer, the woods smell like christmas, and it was where I first heard coyotes howl. Great workout.
