Round Pond Trail is a 2.7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Holland, Vermont that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October.
It's very easy, not long at all in the summer. In the winter it's a good 2 hour snowshoe. No lookout just an old lean-to n a pond. There are a couple trails to can take to make ur hike longer along the way
This trail is short and not too difficult, although if you are backpacking with a heavy pack, it is much more difficult. The trail is relatively easy to follow, but there are many snowmobile trails that run through the area so it's easy to take a side trail by accident. The route is wet and muddy. There are streams and rocky ledge runoffs that keep water in places constantly. There is one stream crossing that requires steady balance and a plan, especially in the spring. If you follow the Round Pond Trail to the end, there is a nice lean-to shelter to camp in and enjoy the elements with an open air view right through the trees to the pond.
