Putney Mountain Hawk Watch is a 1.2 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Putney, Vermont and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and trail running and is accessible year-round.
Short, easy hike to nice views. Hawks in abundance during migration season. A short hike that is good for families, as it's not too hard. Bird lovers will enjoy the spring and fall hawk migration seasons. From parking take the white blazed Ridgeline Trail to the summit. It follows a well defined woods road. Return this way or bear left on a short blue blazed trail then turn left (south) onto the yellow blazed trail and take it back to your car.
The trail was a bit congested though the view impressive. Wish there was a 2.5-ish mile loop.
Nice little hike with beautiful views at the top and educational markers along the way
NIce easy walk to a large clearing with great views. (Would be a great picnic spot) only takes 10 minutes to get to the clearing.
