Our measure of the trail was 5.1 miles, round trip. The last mile of the trail was pretty icy today. Micro spikes helped. View from Long Trail quite lovely.
Trail passes through very large working sugar bush.
Not a heavily travelled trail. Only crossed paths with two other sets of hikers.
Such an incredible hike! I started out late morning and the lighting was just so incredible, around ever corner the light was coming through the trees so beautifully! Beautiful mosses along the trail, and a very rugged trail. I enjoyed the variation in terrain from the gradual, smooth start to the winding, steep rocky parts towards the top! An all around challenge, with beautiful views both at the summit and along the way!
i hiked this trail last Saturday morning. It was a nice quiet 3400 feet climb with a great view. The top leads to many other trails to explorer. unfortunately i didn't pack any food to continue hiking. There were some steep climbs here and there, but leveled out with good moments in flatness and good places to enjoy the environment. its a great hike. wear shoes for the mud and make sure you have a hiking stick or make one from the woods around. good time. i'll do it again sometime.
