Wolfe Ranch and Petroglyph Trail is a 0.5 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Thompson, Utah that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round.
Directions from Main Park Entrance: Drive northward along the park road for 11.7 miles to the Wolfe Ranch Road. Turn right and follow signs to the ranch. Do not follow signs to Delicate Arch Viewpoint, that is a different trailhead.
This is a cool little stop on either the way to or back from Delicate Arch. Nice petroglyphs and cool Pioneer cabin
This is hardly a trail in its own right. We hiked it in conjunction with the Delicate Arch trail, making it a nice "cool-down" walk to some well-preserved petroglyphs. Wolfe Ranch is just a few yards from the parking lot and is comprised of a couple clay brick huts and a small livestock arena.
Like most of Arches NP this trail is very very crowded. Much of the trail is blocked by families trying to take pictures and scowl if you try to walk by them. While the views are great its hard to rate any higher due to the sheer number of people.
Simple hike most any should be capable of doing. Pectrographs well preserved. Wolfe homestead is amazing. To live in that dugout and then to move to the still simple cabin. Rough pioneer life.
Cabin and info about the area on the way to delicate arch
Crowded due to the traffic from Delicate Arch Trail. Check it out while you're heading to the arch.
