Easy and gratifying trail to get to. Its no more than a couple miles before the views get insane as you can see from everyones photos. Go about a mile or so past the overlook it gets better and opens up. Yucca plants burn like CRAZY! It's good fun. Best sunrises on partly cloudy days, scatters the rays and all. Going up the red mountain face is steep in Ivins, but if you plan on coming back is worth it to overcome your fear of heights. Otherwise you can just use the road access off UT 18.

This was my mine and my wife's first backpacking trip. We started the hike around 6pm and hiked around 2 miles to the snow canyon overlook and stayed the night. It was a very windy and cold night but the next morning was beautiful. We hiked about another 5 miles to the pools and then hiked back to the trail head. All and all it was a great hike with beautiful views.
