Murdock Mountain Trail is a 1.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Kamas, UT that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Not sure why this is rated as "Difficult," the climb is mellow compared to Bald Mtn. A good option for an early or late season summit when the snow has set in to snowshoe up to get good views without any major avalanche risk.
I give it a 3 for the summer, 4 for the winter due to there being better options (ie. Bald Mtn) available to summit in the summer.
If you want to climb a peak in the Uintas but don't feel up to the more grueling Bald Mountain Trail than Murdock Mountain is for you. It's just across the highway from the Bald Mountain Trailhead. Murdock Mountain is a gentle sloping mountain that provides great views in all directions. There is no trail to the summit, but because of it's gentle grade anyone in decent shape should be able to easily reach the top. There is a good deal of talus to climb over, but at no point is it ever exposed or risky. On the top you will be greeted with great views, and if you are lucky will catch a glimpse of the mountain goats that live on the mountain.
